Overview The Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) welcomes applications for the 2026 Greenhouse Gas Inventory Research (GHGIR) Funding Round. Eligibility Applications must clearly articulate how the proposed research will improve the accuracy of New Zealand's greenhouse gas emissions estimates from agriculture, forestry, or other land use. Applications may be original projects or align with one of the priorities set out in the 2026 priorities paper.
