About this tender
Overview Rotorua Lakes Council is seeking a contractor for the urban chipseal pavement rehabilitation of Neil Road within the Rotorua District. The extent of works is approximately between RP 0.000 and RP 0.200. Neil Road is classified as an access road with an AADT of approximately 188 vehicles per day. The works area is in the residential suburb of Fairy Springs in Rotorua. Scope The scope of this contract is for the supply of all plant, labour, materials, quality assurance, as-built drawings and incidentals necessary for: Concrete vehicle crossing construction Chipseal pavement construction Disposal of cut to waste material Pavement dig-out Line marking Road drainage Stormwater swale The contractor must also make provision for the following: Provision and maintenance of traffic control and safety for vehicles, cyclists, and pedestrians, maintained wherever possible Environmental management Setting out of the works and the location of all underground services and LINZ survey marks Liaising with service authorities to locate gas, sewer, stormwater, water, power and telecommunication cables Liaising with property owners as required Liaising with other authorities such as NZTA, Iwi, and Waikato Regional Council Protection of existing services Quality assurance for all aspects of the contract works Conducting a ball-bank survey of the completed pavement section and reporting the results to validate advisory speed sign requirements Preparation of as-built documents (including AWM, AMDS compliant data) of the works Contract Terms and Conditions The contractor will be responsible for maintenance of any defects for twelve months after the Practical Completion Certificate has been issued The principal reserves the right to vary the scale of the works to fit within the constraints of the available funding for this project, and there shall be no claim for a variation as a result of any change to the scale of the works
