The Caledonian Athletics Facility is a key regional sport and recreation asset serving Dunedin and the wider Otago region. While primarily an athletics venue, it is also open to the public and supports a broad range of organised and casual users. The Dunedin City Council (DCC) wants to partner with an experienced supplier who can undertake a renewal of the running track as well as provide pricing options for the replacement of other sporting facilities at the facility. Renewal of the track facility will ensure its ability to host local, regional, and national athletics events into the future, as well as ensure the facility: • Remains safe and functional, • Is compliant with relevant standards and retains the current level of certification requirements to host major events. • Is fit for purpose for current and future users. A strong tender response is clear, compliant, and backed by evidence. These steps apply to most Australian and New Zealand public tenders.
Open the official listing and download the full tender pack. Note the response schedules, evaluation criteria, mandatory conditions, and the exact closing time and lodgement method.
Check licences, insurances, certifications, and any conformance requirements before you commit. A quick bid or no-bid decision saves days of wasted effort on a tender you cannot win.
Respond to each evaluation criterion directly and back your claims with concrete examples, referees, and past performance. Address the buyer’s stated need, not a generic capability statement.
Submit through the source portal well before the deadline. Late or incorrectly lodged bids are almost always rejected, so leave time for uploads, portal errors, and last-minute questions.
