EOI – Bruce Mason Centre Refurbishment – ECI Contractor

Overview Tātaki Auckland Unlimited Limited (TAU) is seeking Expressions of Interest from an Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) Contractor for the refurbishment of the Bruce Mason Centre on Auckland's North Shore. About Tātaki Auckland Unlimited is an Auckland Council Controlled Organisation (CCO) responsible for the maintenance and operation of a number of Auckland's cultural institutions, including the Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tamaki, Auckland Zoo, Maritime Museum, Civic Theatre, Aotea Theatre, Town Hall and the Bruce Mason Centre. As part of TAU's ongoing commitment to preserving and maintaining these civic landmarks, the Bruce Mason Centre is currently the subject of a major refurbishment and improvement project. The current building opened in 1996. Purpose The redevelopment is intended to provide a fit-for-purpose venue for the delivery of high-quality performing arts events for the next 50 years. Scope The scope includes: Replacement of a large extent of the building's current envelope An extension to provide improved facilities and functionality General improvements to the building's overall visitor experience and usability Contractor Requirements The project is not suited to contractors who do not have a demonstrated track record with: High quality ECI services, in supporting the client, design team and commercial team Leading specialist subcontractor unitised façade design to successful peer review, building consent and delivery Pro-actively resolving site establishment, methodology, staging, and buildability matters to help minimise impacts on operational sites Successful delivery of two-stage procurement with open book trade tendering on projects of a similar scale and complexity within the last three to five years Enquiries Contact: Mitesh Patel Email: Mitesh.Patel@aucklandunlimited.com Phone: +64 27 705 8741
