About this tender

Overview The Department of Conservation (NZ) requires skilled resources to provide animal pest control of stoats by servicing a network of DOC 200/150 kill traps covering approximately 16,000 hectares in the Haast area, within and around the Haast Tokoeka Kiwi Sanctuary. About The sanctuary is located along the Haast-Jackson Bay Road between the Waiatoto and Arawhata Rivers and extends up onto the Haast Range. The trapping areas outside of the sanctuary include an area at the toe of the Selbourne Range, on the true right of the Waiatoto River. The network includes alpine traps located between 900 and 1400 metres and roadside traps along part of the Haast-Jackson Bay Road, the Waiatoto River Road and the Jackson River Roads. Scope The scope includes: Provision of animal pest control of stoats by servicing a network of DOC 200/150 kill traps Servicing a network of 180km of tracks divided into 33 trap lines Servicing no more than 1159 tunnel boxes containing approximately 2300 DOC 200 or DOC 150 type traps Servicing alpine traps located between 900 and 1400 metres Servicing roadside traps along part of the Haast-Jackson Bay Road, the Waiatoto River Road and the Jackson River Roads
