Overview The Ministry of Education is seeking a main contractor to carry out fencing and car park works at Waterloo School in Wellington. The works involve remediation of the perimeter fencing to achieve the Ministry's 1.8m fencing requirements and reconfiguration and upgrade of the existing school car park, delivered site wide. Scope The scope includes: Demolition and removal of non-compliant fencing and gate elements where required Remediation and replacement works to achieve the Ministry of Education's 1.8m perimeter fencing requirements Reconfiguration and upgrade of the existing school car park Removal or modification of climbable elements, including footholds and horizontal rails, and treatment of adjacent climb assists, including vegetation and structures, to reduce climb ability and achieve a continuous compliant fence line Car parking works that maintain safe pedestrian circulation and gate operation Supply and installation of secure pedestrian and vehicle gates, including appropriate locking and latching hardware to restrict unauthorised egress New and revised line marking within the car park Three accessible parking spaces with associated wheel stops Localised asphalt works Installation of fencing and a sliding vehicle gate within the car park area Staging of works to maintain safe school operations and manage access and egress during construction, with some higher impact activities potentially required outside teaching hours or during school holidays Managing works around multiple uncontrolled access points, boundaries adjacent to private properties, and interfaces with public areas and roads Managing the rear fire exit and wheelchair ramp route, which is a known escape pathway, throughout the works Key trades expected to be involved include fencing and gate installers, asphalt and line-marking contractors, concrete and foundations contractors, and landscaping or vegetation works as required Contractor Requirements Tenderers must demonstrate experience working on occupied school sites and the ability to safely stage and coordinate the works Contract Terms and Conditions The Contractor will be engaged through a Medium Works Contract Instructions to Tenderers No Contract related tags will be considered.
