The Taranaki Coast is a dynamic west coast foreshore that includes important Kaimoana gathering & surfing reefs located within proximity of sites and areas of significance to Māori. There are coastal structures located close to some of these sites and understanding the coastal processes better by having a best practice survey review is important. Effects on tangata whenua and heritage, visual landscape, the natural environment, wildlife, climate change, significant kaimoana gathering areas, surf areas, property, and adjacent landowners will all be factors that we need to address in a Professional Coastal Structures Survey Review Report.
