Overview The Ministry of Education (NZ) is inviting proposals for the Learning Languages Learning Area of the Professional Learning and Development (PLD) programme supporting the New Zealand Curriculum | Te Mātaiaho (NZC) for Years 0-10, delivered across the Ministry's twelve regions. This Request for Proposals (RFP) is issued via the Government Electronic Tender System (GETS). About The Ministry is undertaking a multi-year refresh of the national curricula, including The New Zealand Curriculum | Te Mātaiaho (NZC), to provide a clearer, more coherent, knowledge-rich framework aligned with the science of learning and evidence-informed high-impact explicit teaching pedagogies. The refreshed curriculum is being implemented in phases between 2026 and 2030, requiring sustained system support across that timeframe. Purpose PLD is a critical enabler of successful implementation of the NZC, supporting teachers and leaders to build capability in knowledge-rich curriculum delivery, evidence-based teaching practices, and effective use of data and assessment. Scope This RFP is for the Learning Languages Learning Area. The scope includes: Delivery of PLD services for the Learning Languages Learning Area to teachers in Years 0-10 across the Ministry's twelve regions Delivery of at least two face to face sessions in each of the Ministry's twelve regions every year Service commencing from Term 2 2027 A PLD delivery design that is scalable and inclusive of all travel costs Contractor Requirements A single supplier or consortium is sought per Learning Area to deliver PLD Suppliers may bid for one, multiple, or all of the six Learning Areas (Science, Social Sciences, English, Art, Technology, Learning Languages) Proposed delivery approaches must remain within the RFP parameters and within the indicative budgets Delivery must occur within the prescribed timeframes Enquiries Contact: Nila Panko Phone: 6444395439
