South Wairarapa District Council (SWDC) seeks an experienced programme controller to control the delivery of the Council’s water capital works programme through to 30 June 2027. The contractor will provide operational programme management services to ensure safe, efficient, and timely delivery of the remaining waters infrastructure capital projects aligned with long-term plan scope and budgets, Council priorities, regulatory obligations, and community expectations. This engagement supplements internal capability and ensures continuity, governance confidence, and high‑quality programme outcomes. The contractor will provide programme‑level oversight and coordination across the well-understood capital works portfolio. Key service areas include programme planning and controls, procurement and budgetary oversight, internal stakeholder and partner coordination, liaison with SWDC communication team, quality assurance and compliance, and health, safety and wellbeing. Project management is required as “client side” to balance against “contract side” from multiple engaged contractors. Contact: Peter Trafford Email: peter.trafford@swdc.govt.nz Telephone: 0279447706
A strong tender response is clear, compliant, and backed by evidence. These steps apply to most Australian and New Zealand public tenders.
Open the official listing and download the full tender pack. Note the response schedules, evaluation criteria, mandatory conditions, and the exact closing time and lodgement method.
Check licences, insurances, certifications, and any conformance requirements before you commit. A quick bid or no-bid decision saves days of wasted effort on a tender you cannot win.
Respond to each evaluation criterion directly and back your claims with concrete examples, referees, and past performance. Address the buyer’s stated need, not a generic capability statement.
Submit through the source portal well before the deadline. Late or incorrectly lodged bids are almost always rejected, so leave time for uploads, portal errors, and last-minute questions.
