Protective Body Armour Systems

Overview The Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI), together with Health NZ, is issuing a Request for Information (RFI) to seek general information that will assist both agencies in further defining their requirements for body armour. Purpose MPI and Health NZ want to understand what options are available in the body armour space that can support the different operational needs across both agencies, integrate with existing equipment each agency may have, and enable effective fitting, supply, maintenance and whole-of-life asset management. Information Requested MPI and Health NZ are particularly interested in information on solutions that: Provide effective, certified protection against the key threats highlighted by both parties Are easy to clean and maintain for frontline staff Are available in a comprehensive range of sizes suitable for both male and female wearers Offer a practical approach to supply and servicing of body armour systems across all New Zealand regions Enquiries Contact: Katrina Ross Email: Katrina.Ross@mpi.govt.nz
