Renewable Energy Development

Overview Environment Canterbury Regional Council (CRC) is seeking feedback and information from parties with appropriate capability and experience to lease some or all of the West Melton Reserve land held by CRC, for the purpose of developing and operating a solar energy project, or a mixed solar and farming development. Purpose Through this process, CRC seeks to assess the market's view on the viability, desirability and potential delivery models for renewable energy development on the West Melton Reserve land. Scope The scope includes: Leasing some or all of the West Melton Reserve land held by CRC Developing and operating a solar energy project, or a mixed solar and farming development, on the leased land Delivering approaches that balance renewable energy generation and/or light grazing with ecological protection and enhancement outcomes Contractor Requirements Appropriate capability and experience to lease and develop land for a solar energy project or a mixed solar and farming development
