Overview Rotorua Lakes Council (RLC) is undertaking an upgrade of the Rotorua Dog Pound to improve staff facilities, animal management and site functionality. This Request for Tender seeks a main contractor to coordinate and complete the installation works described below. Scope The scope includes: Installation of three purchased portable buildings: a Gatehouse/payment Booth Unit, an Office/Kitchen/Vet-Room, and a Toilet/Shower Unit Foundation, services and drainage works for the portable buildings Fit out of the office in the portable building Kennel-roof works (approximately 368m2) as described in the Project Specifications Transport to site, on-site movements and cranage for the RLC-supplied portable buildings (Office, Toilet/Shower and Gatehouse); the Toilet/Shower building and the Gatehouse are already located at the Dog Pound, and the Office building is located in Taupo, ready for collection and transport Provision of all management, supervision, labour, subcontractors, materials, plant, transport, cranage, temporary works, testing, permits, protection, reinstatement and completion documentation necessary to deliver the Contract Works Planning and staging of the works so that animal containment, staff operations and safe access are maintained while the facility remains operational during construction Workstreams Workstream 1: Pre-construction, site verification and staging Workstream 2: Foundations, transport and placement of the three portable units Workstream 3: Office and vet room portacom refurbishment Workstream 4: Services, wastewater and associated civil works Workstream 5: New kennel roof (approximately 368m2) and rainwater disposal Workstream 6: Testing, completion and handover Contract Terms and Conditions The tender is Lowest Price Conforming, and tenderers shall provide a fixed lump-sum price for the works specified RLC would prefer the works to be completed by 15 December 2026
