About this tender

Overview The Ministry of Education (NZ) is seeking a main contractor to carry out electrical, heating, science and music internal replacement works at Whangaroa College, covering Blocks A, C, I, K and L. Tenders for separate portions of the works will not be considered in any instance. Additional rights for other projects of a lower value are included in this tender. Scope The Contract Works comprise the refurbishment and upgrade of existing teaching and specialist facilities at Whangaroa College (Blocks A, C, I, K and L). The scope includes: Replacement of localised wall and ceiling linings and wall coverings in Blocks A, C, L, K and I Installation of classroom acoustic ceilings in Blocks L and I Replacement of floor coverings in Blocks A, L, I and K Replacement of external joinery to replace remaining timber joinery in Blocks A, C, L and I Internal alterations including installation of new mezzanine walls in Block A Electrical works including new lighting and upgrades to main distribution boards in Blocks A, C, L and I Replacement of mechanical services in Blocks C, L and I Replacement of plumbing works in Blocks L and I Roofing and weathertightness remediation works in Blocks A and I External works including replacement of concrete ramps for compliant cladding clearances in Block C Contract Terms and Conditions The Contract Works will be delivered in two stages, wholly within school holiday periods: Stage 1: October 2026 school holidays Stage 2: December 2026/January 2027 Christmas holiday The programme should reflect any additional works that fall within term time and consider the operational requirements of the school, as per section 2.2.a.ii of the RFT.
