Overview Tauranga City Council is seeking to engage a suitably experienced contractor to deliver priority civil and environmental works at the Te Maunga Closed Landfill. Successful delivery may support opportunities for future related works, subject to performance, funding availability and procurement requirements. Purpose These works are critical to addressing current consent compliance requirements, improving the performance and resilience of leachate and stormwater management systems, and supporting the long-term management of this important closed landfill asset. Scope The scope includes: Construction of leachate collection infrastructure Installation of stormwater controls Landfill capping Access improvements Associated earthworks within a sensitive and operational waste management environment Contractor Requirements Demonstrated experience delivering complex works in contaminated, constrained and high-risk environments Strong environmental, health and safety practices Ability to work collaboratively with Mana Whenua and key stakeholders to achieve compliant, sustainable and high-quality outcomes
