About this tender
Overview Timaru District Council (TDC) is seeking a qualified and experienced Three Waters contractor to deliver the Temuka Raw Water Trunk Network Upgrade on a design and build basis, covering design through to construction, testing and completion of the installed pipeline. About Raw water for treatment at the Temuka Water Treatment Plant is sourced from six bores: three located on the treatment plant site and three located approximately 400 to 500 metres away near the intersection of Orari Station and Coach Roads. Of the off-site bores, only one is currently in service, with raw water conveyed to the treatment plant via a single 150mm diameter pipeline. The two other off-site bores are new. Purpose Additional raw water conveyance capacity is required to enable supply from the two new off-site bores and to meet increasing demand. There is also a requirement to introduce redundancy into this part of the system. Scope The scope includes: Design of a second raw water pipeline to provide additional conveyance capacity and redundancy Construction of the second raw water pipeline Testing of the installed pipeline Completion of the installed pipeline Contractor Requirements Qualified and experienced Three Waters contractor Capability to undertake both design and construction of the works
