Council is seeking credible contractors to provide operation and management services at the Waitomo Aquatic Centre. Respondents should have the capacity, capability, experience, and resources to manage the facility to the required service levels and within budget. The provider should also demonstrate a strong track record in facilities management, and be proactive in promoting the aquatic centre to ensure it is well utilised, recognising and enhancing its role in supporting the health and wellbeing of all users. The appointed provider must have strong, relevant experience and a track record in providing similar services with suitably qualified personnel. Council is seeking to establish a collaborative relationship with a provider that demonstrates adaptability and flexibility in meeting the requirements of the contract. The contract is for an initial period of five (5) years, with the option to extend for a further five (5) years. This renewal option is subject to good performance by the supplier and continued best value-for-money over the whole-of-life being delivered and is at Waitomo District Council’s absolute discretion.
