Overview Livingstone Shire Council is inviting suitably qualified and experienced consultancy firms to submit a tender for the preparation of the Barmaryee Multi Sports Precinct Master Plan. About The Barmaryee Multi Sports Precinct is a strategically important Council-owned facility that currently accommodates a range of sporting and community activities, including Junior Rugby League, Touch Football, Netball, OzTag, Keppel Coast District events and school sporting carnivals. The precinct has been identified as the preferred location for the future expansion of rectangular sports, including Rugby Union, Outriggers, Volleyball and other compatible sporting and recreation activities. Continued population growth, increasing participation rates and demand for regional sporting infrastructure have created the need for a coordinated and sustainable master planning approach to maximise the precinct's capacity, functionality and long-term value to the community. Objectives The objective of this engagement is to develop a comprehensive, evidence-based and implementable Master Plan that will guide the future planning, development and staged expansion of the Barmaryee Multi Sports Precinct as a regionally significant sporting and recreation hub. The Master Plan will establish a long-term vision for the precinct, incorporating the planning and integration of sporting infrastructure, supporting facilities, transport networks, access, parking, open space, landscaping and associated infrastructure to meet current and future community needs. Scope The successful tenderer will be responsible for providing all professional services necessary to deliver the Master Plan in accordance with the Contract, Technical Specification and associated Tender Documents.
