C2C- Demolition Works - Calvale to Calliope River Transmission Line Reinforcement Project

Overview Zinfra is preparing to undertake procurement activities for the demolition and partial dismantling of existing transmission line structures associated with 132kV Feeders 7104 and 7105, Gladstone South to Callide A, to support the delivery of the Calvale to Calliope (C2C) Project in Central Queensland for Powerlink Queensland. The package will include the partial dismantling and removal of existing transmission line structures, conductors and associated infrastructure within the affected easement to facilitate the proposed 275kV transmission line construction. Purpose The objective of this package is to engage a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to undertake the demolition and partial dismantling of existing transmission line structures associated with 132kV Feeders 7104 and 7105, Gladstone South to Callide A, to facilitate the proposed 275kV transmission line construction within the vacated easement. Scope The scope includes, but is not limited to: Removal of 10 x 132kV double-circuit lattice steel structures to 1m below ground level Removal of 2 x steel strain poles Collection, handling, transport and off-site disposal of dismantled structures, foundations and other removed materials Backfilling and compaction of excavations resulting from foundation removal using approved fill Supply, installation and removal of concrete washout facilities, including rehabilitation of affected areas Supply and installation of steel liners, where required Management and protection of the works throughout construction Identification, handling and disposal of contaminated materials and construction waste in accordance with environmental requirements Handling, transport and storage of materials in accordance with project requirements Provision of all labour, supervision, plant, equipment, materials and temporary works necessary to safely complete the works Contractor Requirements Supplier Prequalification Requirements Demonstrated experience undertaking transmission line demolition, dismantling, modification or construction works, preferably on 132kV or higher voltage infrastructure Experience working within live or operational electrical environments and managing interfaces with energised assets and other construction activities Demonstrated capability in the safe dismantling and removal of lattice steel transmission structures, steel poles, conductors, foundations and associated earthing infrastructure Demonstrated capability to construct and install transmission line pole foundations, including excavation, dewatering, shoring, backfilling and compaction Sufficient plant, lifting equipment, labour and experienced supervision to safely undertake structure demolition, material handling and pole erection works Demonstrated experience with lifting, rigging, dismantling, transport and off-site disposal of transmission line structures and construction materials Ability to manage and dispose of concrete, steel, contaminated materials and other construction waste in accordance with environmental and project requirements Demonstrated understanding of electrical safety, isolation requirements, exclusion zones and working near energised assets Compliance with applicable WHS, environmental, quality, transport and industrial relations requirements Appropriate insurances, licences, certifications and documented WHS and environmental management systems Certified management systems, or demonstrated equivalent systems, aligned with ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 Demonstrated commitment to local, Indigenous and Traditional Owner participation through employment, subcontracting or supply chain engagement Instructions to Tenderers The procurement approach will be conducted in two phases: Phase 1: Expression of Interest (EOI) / supplier prequalification Phase 2: Request for Tender (RFT) issued to shortlisted suppliers Indicative timing for the procurement is as follows, noting that timing is indicative only and remains subject to project and client requirements: Expression of Interest: September 2026 Tender release: October 2026 Contract award: October 2026 Service commencement: Q4 2026 Enquiries Zinfra Projects & Infrastructure, Calvale to Calliope (C2C) Project: ZinfraC2C@zinfra.com.au
