C2C- Substation Internal Roads - Calvale to Calliope River Transmission Line Reinforcement Project

Overview Zinfra is preparing to undertake procurement activities for the construction and modification of substation access and internal roads to support delivery of the Calvale to Calliope (C2C) Project in Central Queensland, on behalf of Powerlink Queensland. The package will include the construction and modification of access and internal roads within the substation, including road formation, surfacing, drainage interfaces, signage and road furniture, together with associated works required to provide safe, durable and fit-for-purpose access in accordance with project requirements. Purpose The objective of this package is to engage a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to construct and modify access and internal roads within the Calvale Substation, including associated surfacing, signage, road furniture and ancillary works required to support the safe and efficient operation and construction of the substation. Scope The scope includes: Construction and/or modification of substation access and internal roads in accordance with approved designs and project specifications Earthworks, grading and preparation of road formations Supply, placement, trimming and compaction of road pavement and surfacing materials Tying new and modified roads into existing access roads and substation areas Provision and modification of drainage interfaces associated with the road works Provision of road signage, line marking and road furniture where required Reinstatement of road surfaces and disturbed areas following completion of construction activities Maintaining safe and suitable access throughout the works and coordinating activities with ongoing substation operations Provision of all labour, supervision, plant, equipment, materials, testing and temporary works necessary to complete the works Contractor Requirements Supplier Prequalification Requirements Experience working within live or operational substation environments or similar energy, infrastructure, mining, resources or major construction projects, and managing interfaces with other construction activities Demonstrated capability in road formation, earthworks, pavement construction, grading, surfacing and compaction Sufficient plant, equipment, labour and supervision to meet project program and construction requirements Demonstrated capability to undertake associated drainage, signage, line marking and road furniture works Ability to comply with approved designs, project specifications, pavement requirements, testing and quality standards Compliance with applicable WHS, environmental, quality, transport and industrial relations requirements Appropriate insurances, licences, certifications and documented WHS and environmental management systems Certified management systems, or demonstrated equivalent systems, aligned with ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 Demonstrated commitment to local, Indigenous and Traditional Owner participation through employment, subcontracting or supply chain engagement Information Requested Zinfra is committed to maximising opportunities for local Central Queensland suppliers, Indigenous-owned businesses, Traditional Owner enterprises and regional employment outcomes.
