About this tender

Overview Sunshine Coast Council is seeking to engage a suitably qualified civil contractor to upgrade the Caloundra Resource Recovery Centre green waste hardstand area at Pierce Ave, Corbould Park, QLD. The successful contractor is to ensure the transfer station remains operational throughout construction. Communication and planning with the recovery centre will be essential for the successful delivery of this project. Respondents are encouraged to consider staging options that deliver an accelerated program of work, provided operational impacts (if any) are acceptable to Council. Scope The scope of works includes, but is not limited to: Supply and installation of all materials in accordance with the design drawings Implementation of traffic and pedestrian management, including delineation and control of work zones for the duration of construction Attendance at a pre-construction planning meeting and undertaking a survey of existing levels to verify cut and fill requirements Clearing and grubbing of the site, including separation berms and preparation of the work area Installation and maintenance of erosion and sediment control measures Execution of earthworks, including excavation, filling, grading, compaction, and associated conformance testing Preparation and implementation of a Site Quality Plan (SQP), where required, for works within a closed landfill environment (LFG conditions) Construction of drainage and swale formation Soil testing, reports, permits etc if any material is required to be relocated off/within site Completion of construction surveying, conformance surveys, as-constructed documentation, and provision of operation and maintenance manuals, including ADAC deliverables Installation of a high visibility geofabric marker layer to identify and protect the existing landfill capping layer Placement of topsoil and installation of turf, including establishment and maintenance for revegetated areas (12 weeks) The successful contractor will be required to supply all materials, plant, equipment, and labour necessary to undertake and complete all activities associated with the scope of works under this Contract, including performing all tasks, operations, and associated services required to deliver the works in accordance with the specified requirements and to a satisfactory standard. Contract Terms and Conditions This Contract is to be undertaken on a lump sum basis Anticipated commencement date: October 2026 Required completion date: July 2027 The works are expected to be delivered in multiple stages, allowing for a structured and coordinated approach to project delivery, as outlined in the Technical Specification Tender Briefing A site information session will be conducted to provide further details and clarification regarding the project requirements, site conditions, and expectations. This session will be held in accordance with the details provided in Schedule 2.
