Construction (Shire Hall Upgrade)

Overview Cook Shire Council invites tenders from suitably qualified tenderers for the construction of a new ablution block, covered access pathway, ramp and/or carpark works at the Shire Hall, Cooktown, as described in more detail in Part 5, Scope. Scope The works generally include: Demolition and removal of the existing ablution block and existing access walkway, including disposal of materials off-site Construction of a new ablution block Construction of accessible covered access pathways and ramps Carpark, drainage and associated civil works Associated building, structural, hydraulic, electrical and ancillary works required to complete the project Separate pricing is required for each project element, including: Ablution block Pathway/ramp works Carpark works All works are to be completed in accordance with the attached plans, specifications and consultant documentation. The successful contractor shall work alongside and coordinate with Council's Project Management Team throughout the duration of the project. Contractor Requirements The site is a recognised heritage site and contractors shall comply with all applicable heritage requirements and restrictions during the course of the works Contract Terms and Conditions Cook Shire Council will obtain the required heritage exemptions and statutory building approvals associated with the project The project will need to be completed by no later than 30 June 2028
