Scope Strategic Communications and Reputation Strategy The successful agency will be required to develop an overarching strategic communications and reputation approach for Council. This may include: Defining Council's strategic communications position Identifying priority audiences and stakeholder groups Developing audience propositions Developing a clear overarching corporate narrative Identifying the themes and stories that should define Council's public profile Developing an annual and multi-year communications roadmap Identifying opportunities to increase Council's share of voice Identifying areas in which Council should lead public discussion Developing proactive reputation-building programs Aligning communications with Council's Corporate Plan and strategic priorities Developing approaches for explaining complex Council services and decisions Advising on the balance between service information, reputation content, advocacy and community storytelling Identifying reputation risks and opportunities Developing communication strategies for high-profile or contentious matters Supporting Council's positioning as an effective, responsive and forward-looking organisation Providing ongoing strategic counsel to senior Council personnel The strategy must be practical and capable of guiding campaigns, content, media activity, advertising and issues management.
