Overview The Department of Education (DoE) is calling for tender submissions for the design and construction of the Enhance STEM & Sporting Facilities project at Upper Coomera State College, as part of the GEC program. Scope The scope includes: Internal refurbishment of the existing Resource Building to deliver STEM subjects Refurbishment of the existing sports oval, including a new solid shade structure and storage shed Resurfacing of the existing Sports Hall carpark Contract Terms and Conditions All works are to be completed by end of March 2027 Contractor Requirements Tender submissions will be accepted from contractors that meet the following mandatory requirements: Appropriate QBCC Builders licences to undertake the entire scope of works Professional Indemnity Insurance to the value of $1 million Certified 3rd Party Quality Assurance Where a PQC Level is stated, the Principal is not obliged to provide tender documents, consider, or accept a tender unless the tenderer is appropriately registered under the Queensland Government's PQC System for that PQC Level (or higher) and categories for which the tender is invited. It is anticipated that a minimum of a QBCC (Low Rise) builders' licence will be required for this project. Contractors are required to hold Professional Indemnity Insurance in accordance with the contract. Site Inspection Details of the site inspection will be advised in the email and letters to tenderers.
