Overview Mareeba Shire Council invites quotations from suitably qualified respondents for the provision of cleaning and waste removal services for the township of Irvinebank. Scope The scope includes: Cleaning of the amenities in Irvinebank, off peak season once a week from September to June (estimated 44 weeks), peak season twice a week for July and August (estimated 8 weeks), and major cleaning in June and December Town Common waste collection, off peak season once a week from September to June (estimated 44 weeks) and peak season twice a week for July and August (estimated 8 weeks) Removal of waste and rubbish from provided containers, facilities, and the surrounding area, transported to the most convenient refuse transfer station of the Principal Cleaning, relining, and returning bins to their original areas Collection of rubbish from within the town common Supplying all tools, equipment, products, and materials required to perform the cleaning services Completing all required cleaning schedules within Council's app and uploading photos as evidence that cleaning, waste collection, and any required maintenance have been completed Using the contractor's own device to perform the required work, in accordance with device specifications and minimum requirements to be provided by Council prior to commencement Undertaking any other duties as directed by Council Consumables Council will supply toilet paper, paper towels (where required), liquid soap (where required), and garbage bin liners. These consumables will be supplied by Council's Stores and either delivered by Council staff to the Contractor at Irvinebank or collected by the Contractor from Council's Depot Office, Kowa Street, Mareeba, as agreed between Council and the successful Contractor. Contractor Requirements Suitably qualified to undertake cleaning and waste removal services Responsible for arranging and funding any replacement staff and/or equipment required due to absences, leave, or other unavailability, with all associated costs included in the Contractor's annual fee (no additional payment will be made by Council for such replacements) Required to specify the days on which cleaning and waste removal work will be undertaken Contract Terms and Conditions The Contract will commence on the date specified in Council's letter of acceptance The Contract will remain in effect for a period of two (2) years At Council's sole discretion, the Contract may be extended for one (1) additional year, subject to the Contractor's satisfactory performance
