Subject: Invitation to Participate – Request for Information (RFI) - Overhead Line Hardware Energy Queensland Limited (EQL) invites your organisation to participate in a Request for Information (RFI) as part of a market sounding activity for Overhead Line Hardware. The purpose of this activity is to: • Gain a better understanding of the current supplier market • Benchmark pricing • Seek insights into potential product grouping approaches The information gathered will assist EQL in determining the most appropriate sourcing strategy moving forward. This may include extending existing contractual arrangements with incumbent supplier(s) or proceeding to a competitive open market tender process. EQL anticipates that any future contract arising from this process may be structured as an initial term of five (5) years, with two (2) optional extension periods of up to two (2) years each. This process forms part of EQL’s broader procurement planning and does not constitute a request for tender or commitment to proceed with any procurement at this stage. In this invitation is the RFI documentation, which outlines the information requested (response schedules) and technical requirements (Technical Specifications). You are invited to participate in the RFI and we encourage your organisation to complete the attached response schedules and return them to EQL by 17 June 2026. RFI documentation: Technical Specifications: • EQTS 01-09-05 Technical Specification for LOW VOLTAGE ABC AND XLPE CABLE EQUIPMENT AND FITTINGS • EQTS 01-09-02 Technical Specification for HELICAL FITTINGS • EQTS 01-09-03 Technical Specification for COMPRESSION FITTINGS (Terminal Lugs, Electrical Ferrules, Sleeves) • EQTS 01-09-04 Technical Specification for MISCELLANEOUS OVERHEAD ITEMS Response schedules: • Company Profile Schedule • Product Information Schedule • Pricing Schedule If you have any questions or require clarification, please contact Katia Wenham at katia.wenham@energyq.com.au. EQL appreciates your time and consideration in contributing to this process and looks forward to your response.
A strong tender response is clear, compliant, and backed by evidence. These steps apply to most Australian and New Zealand public tenders.
Open the official listing and download the full tender pack. Note the response schedules, evaluation criteria, mandatory conditions, and the exact closing time and lodgement method.
Check licences, insurances, certifications, and any conformance requirements before you commit. A quick bid or no-bid decision saves days of wasted effort on a tender you cannot win.
Respond to each evaluation criterion directly and back your claims with concrete examples, referees, and past performance. Address the buyer’s stated need, not a generic capability statement.
Submit through the source portal well before the deadline. Late or incorrectly lodged bids are almost always rejected, so leave time for uploads, portal errors, and last-minute questions.
