Far North Queensland Ports Corporation Limited, trading as Ports North (PN) is a government-owned Corporation established under the Government Owned Corporations Act 1993 (Qld) that develops and manages Port facilities. PN operates the Ports of Cairns, Cape Flattery, Karumba, Mourilyan, Skardon River, Quintell Beach, Thursday Island, Burketown and Cooktown. PN invites Tenders from suitably qualified and experienced organisations to undertake pilot transfer services for the ports of Mourilyan and Cairns from 18 February 2027, on behalf of PN who is the Responsible Pilotage Entity for the Compulsory Pilotage Area(s) of Cairns and Mourilyan under section 160(2) and Schedule 3 of the Transport Operations (Marine Safety) Act 1994.
