About this tender

Project Overview: The purpose of this tender call is to complete works identified for the Department of Education (DoE) Housing Improvement Program (HIP) to Res. 002 House & Res. 003 Duplex – School St, Saibai Island. Please note that both residences will be tenanted for the duration of the proposed works. The contractor is therefore required to ensure that when planning the staging of the proposed works, that they allow for the tenant to gain access to the residence at all times throughout the duration of these proposed works. Contractor is to be responsible for the removal and reinstatement of items required to complete works. The tenant/client is to be responsible for the removal and reinstatement of all items of a personal nature. Contractors are required to complete the Saibai Island Various Package 1 - Tender Bid Sheet and submit as part of their offer. Tender Bid Sheet is to be used when tenders / offers are sought for multiple projects for which the Principal may accept an offer for one or multiple projects. For a site inspection, it is mandatory to arrange attendance with the following contact prior to attending site. No admittance to site will be granted if a site inspection is not prearranged. Site Contact: Lauren Kanowski on 0461 491 839 All drawings and images provided within this tender shall be viewed as examples of the existing layout and approximate dimensions only. The contractor is to attend site to confirm site specific layout, dimensions and conditions as images & drawings provided may be dated. Contractor is to be responsible for the removal and disposal of all trade related waste including associated freight and fees. The successful Contractor is to provide a program of works indicating start/finished dates, extent and schedule of works not less than 2 weeks prior to onsite works commencement. Works shall be quoted for completion during normal hours and shall meet the requirements of this specification as noted below. Provide QBuild Supervisor with SWMS for any high-risk work prior to starting work onsite. This project contains work at heights: (Work above 2.0mtrs) Safe Work Method Statements are required prior to undertaking work on site. Extent of Work: Supply all labour, materials and equipment required to complete works as indicated in the attached Tender Bid Sheet. All works, products and finishes are to be in accordance with the submitted relevant standards, reference documentation and below supplementary specifications. Make good to all disturbed surfaces on completion. Scope: Supply and install as required all working at height safety equipment to complete these works. Supply and install edge protection to cover the full area of work where required. Remove and dispose of all the existing roofing screws/fasteners to the roof sheeting, ridge capping and hip / barge flashings of the property. - NOTE: If during removal of the existing roofing screws/fasteners full removal is not possible then the new roofing screws/fasteners are to be installed as close to the existing penetration ensuring it is securely fixed to the below batten, and the remaining hole left is adequately sealed with a water proof silicon. Supply and install suitable sized (larger gauge) new roofing screws/fasteners in a matching colour (if applicable) and of the same material as is existing to the entire roof area of the property to replace the removed roofing screws/fasteners. New roofing screws/fasteners are to comply with current Australian Standards and fixed in accordance with Local Authorities By-laws, statutory and manufacturer's requirements and recommendations for cyclone prone areas. New roofing screws/fasteners are to have a Minimum Corrosion Resistance Class 3. Roof and gutters are to be thoroughly cleaned upon completion of works each day. Remove and dispose of all associated trade waste from entire residence. Seal any/all penetrations with approved sealant. All works are to comply with WPHS standards.
