What the buyer is requesting Details Bundaberg Regional Council (Council) invites offers from suitably qualified, experienced and licensed Suppliers for the recovery, purchase, collection, transport, reporting and lawful processing of used lead acid batteries, referred to in this Invitation to Offer as ULABs, generated or received at Council’s nominated waste management facilities, depots and other nominated Council sites within the Bundaberg Regional Council local government area. Council is seeking to establish a contractual arrangement with a single preferred Supplier who can provide a reliable, compliant and commercially competitive service for the recovery of ULABs. The successful Supplier will be required to provide, service and maintain suitable battery storage containers at nominated sites, collect ULABs upon request or in accordance with an agreed servicing schedule, transport ULABs using appropriately licensed vehicles and personnel, complete all required waste tracking documentation, and ensure that ULABs are recovered, recycled, processed or otherwise managed lawfully and responsibly. Council makes no representation or warranty as to the volume, quality, frequency, type, availability or contamination level of ULABs that may be available during the contract term. Historical or estimated collection frequencies are provided as a guide only and must not be relied upon as a guaranteed volume or minimum collection entitlement. This agreement will be for the duration of three (3) years with two (2) x one (1) year extension options at Council's discretion.
