The Queensland Police Service (QPS) is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) only from suitable suppliers to participate in an upcoming Request for Quote (RFQ) that will be released following this EOI process. Suppliers are invited to respond to the two questions as long as they are able to comply with the specifications outlined in Documents A, B and C. QPS requires all Police Officers (PO), Police Liaison Officers (PLO) and Protective Services Officers (PSO) to be provided with a suitable reflectorised raincoat and QPS officers with additional Wet Weather (WW) trousers. In addition, QPS requires all Motorcycle Riders to be provided with suitable reflectorised WW jackets and trousers. The raincoat and trousers for PO, PLO and PSO’s as well as the raincoat and trousers for Motorcycle Riders are required to provide protection and comfort from wet (rainy) conditions and will be worn in extreme tropical humid conditions as well as normal wet weather conditions across Queensland. Reflective clothing is required for enhanced visibility of PO, PLO and PSO’s in low visibility conditions. This contract will be utilised by multiple agencies in addition to QPS including Marine Rescue Queensland (MRQ) and State Emergency Service (SES). These items are critical to ensure frontline operators are equipped with the correct clothing to execute their jobs during wet weather occurrences.
A strong tender response is clear, compliant, and backed by evidence. These steps apply to most Australian and New Zealand public tenders.
Open the official listing and download the full tender pack. Note the response schedules, evaluation criteria, mandatory conditions, and the exact closing time and lodgement method.
Check licences, insurances, certifications, and any conformance requirements before you commit. A quick bid or no-bid decision saves days of wasted effort on a tender you cannot win.
Respond to each evaluation criterion directly and back your claims with concrete examples, referees, and past performance. Address the buyer’s stated need, not a generic capability statement.
Submit through the source portal well before the deadline. Late or incorrectly lodged bids are almost always rejected, so leave time for uploads, portal errors, and last-minute questions.
