Overview BHP Olympic Dam Corporation Pty Ltd (SA) is inviting expressions of interest for the supply of 132kV power transformers as part of the Smelter & Refinery Expansion (SRE) project, forming part of BHP's Copper SA operations. About Studies are currently underway into an expansion of BHP's existing copper refining facilities at Olympic Dam to construct a two-stage smelter and associated refinery complex. The proposed SRE project will enable BHP to process significantly more concentrate from across its Copper SA operations. The overall project scope includes copper concentrate import and blending facilities, additional smelting capacity, additional refining capacity, and additional non-process infrastructure to support the expansion program. Scope At the time of publishing this invitation to register interest, the package scope covers the engineering, design, component procurement, manufacture, supply, delivery, installation and commissioning support of: 3 off liquid immersed, 132/11 kV, 27/36 MVA, YNyn0, KNAN/KNAF 10% outdoor power transformer, complete with all components and ancillary equipment Optional pricing is to be provided for: 3 off liquid immersed, 132/11 kV, 27/36 MVA, YNyn0, ONAN/ONAF 10% outdoor power transformer, complete with all components and ancillary equipment Both the base and optional pricing will include, but not be limited to: 3 off surge arrestors associated with the 132kV side of each transformer Civil and structural, mechanical, fire detection and protection, electrical, and piping and instrumentation and control requirements as may be required under the tendered scope of work All package management, tagging and labelling, documentation, as-builts, licences, testing, quality control activities, on-site supervision, spares and special tools, and preservation of equipment as may be required under the tendered scope of work Contractor Requirements Goods and/or services must comply with all relevant Australian Standards Goods and/or services must comply with all relevant BHP Standards How to Apply BHP is seeking expressions of interest (EOI) for the package detailed above. At the time of publishing this invitation, the target award date is February 2027. Interested parties should register on the etender Gateway online platform and ensure: The Company Profile on etender Gateway is complete, up to date, and accurate Responses to the pre-qualification criteria (questions) via the Gateway are provided If interest is registered as Full-Scope, any portions of the package that would be subcontracted to third parties are described (if applicable) If interest is registered as Partial-Scope, the portion of the package the registrant wishes to supply is expressly identified The etender Gateway will follow up on full-scope registrations by email once the full-scope closing date has passed. The supplier's response to that email, together with their demonstration of capability for the service, will form their EOI for this package.
