About this tender

In 2025 the City of Burnside endorsed a Bicycle Network Plan (BNP), which aims to create a safer and more enjoyable cycling experience for cyclists of all ages and abilities, and encourages a reduced use of cars. The BNP includes 3 existing east-west primary bicycle routes, 3 new north-south primary bicycle routes, 3 new/improved alternate bicycle routes, and a number of secondary routes. The first step in implementing the BNP is to develop a Bicycle Pavement Markings and Signage Plan for all routes. This plan should include road markings such as sharrows, green paint, bicycle symbols, and signage with route names, arrows and distances. The Bicycle Pavement Markings and Signage Plan is to be developed from July to October 2026. The Consultant must be available for ad hoc queries during the construction stages, expected to occur January to April 2027, and July to October 2027. Please note that this contract is dependent on Council endorsing the 2026/27 Annual Business Plan and Budget in June 2026. How to respond to this tender

A strong tender response is clear, compliant, and backed by evidence. These steps apply to most Australian and New Zealand public tenders.

Read the requirements in full

Open the official listing and download the full tender pack. Note the response schedules, evaluation criteria, mandatory conditions, and the exact closing time and lodgement method.

Confirm you are eligible and it is worth bidding

Check licences, insurances, certifications, and any conformance requirements before you commit. A quick bid or no-bid decision saves days of wasted effort on a tender you cannot win.

Answer every criterion with evidence

Respond to each evaluation criterion directly and back your claims with concrete examples, referees, and past performance. Address the buyer’s stated need, not a generic capability statement.

Lodge early through the official portal

Submit through the source portal well before the deadline. Late or incorrectly lodged bids are almost always rejected, so leave time for uploads, portal errors, and last-minute questions.
