Intravenous Consumables Panel (Syringes, Needles and Cannulas)

Overview The Procurement and Supply Chain Management (PSCM) team, representing the SA Health agency's Department for Health and Wellbeing (DHW), is conducting a procurement process through an Invitation to Supply (ITS) via an open market approach for the supply of Intravenous Consumables, consisting of needles, syringes and cannulas. About The Medical Consumables Sourcing team within the PSCM division is responsible for sourcing and managing panel agreements for medical consumables required across multiple Local Health Networks within SA Health. Intravenous Consumables are required across all Local Health Networks and throughout SA Health. Purpose The current panel agreement is due to expire on 30 June 2027, and a new panel arrangement is required to ensure the continued supply of these essential products, replacing the existing SA Health Panel Agreement SAH2017-67 for Intravenous Consumables (IV1). Scope The scope includes: Supply of intravenous consumables, consisting of needles, syringes and cannulas Objectives Successful suppliers will be awarded contracts under a panel arrangement, with the ITS expected to: Have a small number of suppliers per category or product, who can offer competing brands for products on the SA Health Product Checklist Have successful products added to the SA Health Catalogue, allowing the Local Health Networks to place orders for these brands Provide potential to receive Secondary Procurement (SP) processes during the contract term if SA Health decides to conduct a SP, either before exercising an extension option or because SA Health expects value can be achieved Contract Terms and Conditions Panel membership for an initial two-year term Option for SA Health to exercise extension options to provide a total contract term of up to 7 years (3+2+2) Enquiries Contact: Joann Hu Office: +61 (08) 82355972 Email: Joann.hu@sa.gov.au
