Overview Berri Barmera Council is seeking a suitably qualified contractor to undertake multi-year kerbing and pram ramp renewal works across the Council area. Purpose As part of Council's ongoing Asset Management Program and commitment to maintaining safe and compliant infrastructure, a number of kerbs, pram ramps and spoon drains have been identified for renewal due to age-related deterioration, stormwater drainage deficiencies, non-compliance with current standards, and general wear arising from traffic and environmental conditions. Objectives Improve stormwater management, road edge delineation and pedestrian accessibility Enhance asset performance and reduce ongoing maintenance requirements Improve safety outcomes for road users and pedestrians Scope The scope includes: Construction and replacement of compliant kerbing at prioritised locations across the Council area Construction and replacement of compliant pram ramps at prioritised locations across the Council area Construction and replacement of associated drainage infrastructure at prioritised locations across the Council area Contract Terms and Conditions Council intends to engage the successful contractor under a schedule of rates arrangement over a two-year period The arrangement is subject to annual budget allocations and satisfactory contractor performance The extent and quantity of kerbing and pram ramp renewal works undertaken during the contract term will depend on Council priorities, available funding and prevailing construction costs Information Requested Tenderers shall provide itemised rates for each nominated kerb section and pram ramp construction activity, with separate pricing provided for each individual length of kerb and each pram ramp location to facilitate assessment and ongoing delivery of the works program.
