Overview Berri Barmera Council invites tenders from suitably experienced contractors to undertake revegetation, pest animal management and pest plant control works within the Lake Bonney Caring for Country area, from Apex Park to Pelican Point. Purpose The project aims to improve the ecological health and biodiversity of the Lake Bonney environment through targeted revegetation activities, pest animal control, and ongoing pest plant management. The works will contribute to habitat restoration, protection of native vegetation, and enhancement of environmental values within the project area. Objectives Restore and enhance native vegetation around Lake Bonney Increase biodiversity and habitat connectivity Establish sustainable native vegetation by direct seeding and tubestock planting Reduce impacts of pest animals, particularly foxes and rabbits, within revegetation areas Reduce the extent and spread of priority pest plant species Improve long-term environmental resilience of the Lake Bonney foreshore and reserve areas Scope The scope includes: Revegetation works within the Lake Bonney Caring for Country area, from Apex Park to Pelican Point Pest animal management works within the project area Pest plant control works within the project area Instructions to Tenderers Tenders are to be submitted via email as per the tender documents.
