Overview District Council of Loxton Waikerie is seeking quotes for the supply and delivery of one (1) new articulated motor grader, in accordance with the specification detailed below. Scope The scope includes supply and delivery of one new articulated motor grader, such as a Caterpillar 140 or other similar model, meeting the following specification: Six-cylinder diesel engine, minimum 180-220 net horsepower 14-foot mouldboard with hydraulic side shift, power tilt and circle turn gearbox with slip clutch Direct drive shift transmission with a minimum of 8 forward and 6 reverse gears Dual joystick controls Electronically engaged and released parking brake Lockable fuel tank, able to be filled from ground level 17.5 R25 radial tyres fitted to the machine Ground level cabin door release Lockable, enclosed, air-conditioned ROPS cabin with ergonomic air rider heated seat with electronic adjustment and operator-friendly controls Rear mounted ripper scarifier with 3 ripper tines and nine scarifier tines fitted to the machine Tyre inflation kit (12 metres of air hose with quick action coupling) able to be run from on board the grader Internal and external mirrors (external heated if available) Front and rear windscreen wipers Registration and sign writing to council specification Dual fixed and guarded LED rotating beacons fitted below cabin roof level Automatically activated reversing camera with back up alarm, activated by selecting reverse gear Tinted windows (maximum legal) AM/FM radio CD player fitted to the machine Supply and installation of an 80 channel UHF radio and antenna 2.5 kg fire extinguisher mounted in consultation with council Lockable weatherproof toolbox, keyed alike to the rest of the machine Front mounted push block with sign rack as pictured Heavy duty canvas seat cover Heavy duty rubber floor mat Minimum 30 litre hand wash station mounted on the machine Workshop, spare parts manual/CD and operation manual Respondents may also provide optional pricing for the following: Ring feeder tow hitch attached to the ripper 24-volt trailer socket mounted to the ripper Stucchi coupling system to the rear of the grader for use with a combination roller 6 port selector valves with switch mounted in cabin, allowing the ripper function while raising and lowering the drum Where applicable, only genuine manufacturer's accessories should be provided. Information Requested A completed "Supplier Information Form" Standard specifications and features of the machinery offered, including drawings or illustrations where applicable, submitted with the quote to form part of the quote Specific reasons why the offered product is superior, which respondents should be able to present; a demonstration and reference for the plant may also be required The proposed exterior colour of the vehicle, if available (council will consider colours other than standard if this reduces the anticipated delivery date) Full details of any manufacturer's guarantee or warranty The anticipated delivery date of the vehicle, if possible Contract Terms and Conditions All quotes shall be valid for sixty (60) days from the date of close of the RFQ Quotes are to be net and shall include delivery to the council's depot The vehicle will be required to be registered with an expiry date of 30 June 2027, to be included in the quoted price based on the anticipated time of delivery The District Council of Loxton Waikerie reserves the right to accept or reject all or any part of a quote; the lowest or any quote will not necessarily be accepted As part of acceptance of a quote, the successful respondent will be required to supply a full risk assessment and conduct a plant handover at the council works depot, Waikerie, including a demonstration of the plant to selected staff All materials and workmanship shall be in accordance with Australian Standards and to the satisfaction of council; any material or workmanship considered inferior or unsuitable by council will be rejected and shall be made good by the supplier at their own expense Instructions to Tenderers Suppliers are required to complete the "Supplier Information Form" and submit it along with their quote via SA Tenders and Contracts. Council will notify the successful respondent as soon as practicable following completion of the evaluation process.
