Overview Circular Head Council is seeking a contractor to supply and install guardrail on Johns Hill Road, Irishtown. Scope The works cover the section of Johns Hill Road from chainage 0.547km to 1.363km (approximately), with chainage 0 measured from the Johns Hill/Irishtown/Youngs Rd intersection. This section has a winding horizontal alignment and a moderately steep vertical alignment throughout, with a steep drop-off hazard located between 3 to 5 metres from the trafficable lane. Two sections of post and cable guardrail currently exist at the highest risk areas, featuring non-compliant end terminals, and this existing barrier system will be removed and disposed of as part of the works. The scope includes, but is not necessarily limited to: Project preliminaries, including all onsite inspections, preparation of a project plan, risk assessments, design, and environmental management planning and measures Removal and disposal of existing infrastructure, including the existing barrier system, to an approved off-site location Set out works on site Dial Before You Dig and on-site service location Traffic management Supply and installation of new W beam MASH compliant traffic barrier and MASH compliant end terminals Site clean-up and reinstatement of work-affected areas
