Application to the List of External Evaluation Providers by The Ian Potter Foundation
Tender Overview
About this tender
The Ian Potter Foundation is a major Australian philanthropic foundation that supports and promotes excellence and innovation. Since 1964, The Ian Potter Foundation has contributed over $325 million to thousands of organisations that address key issues and develop our creativity and capacity as a nation. While each program area has its own grant-making priorities and objectives, the Foundation's general principles are to fund prevention and to support and encourage excellence. We also look for innovative solutions and ideas and assess the long-term sustainability of the projects we support. As such, many of the projects we fund are evaluated, and often grantees approach us to inquire about evaluators' recommendations. To this end, we are issuing a call for evaluators interested in being listed in the External Evaluation Providers list by The Ian Potter Foundation. Our main purpose is to ensure our grant partners have access to high-quality evaluation reports that will enable projects to leverage ongoing funding (from government, social enterprises, or other foundations). While we welcome applications across all our areas, current needs are particularly high for community-led, place-based and systems-change evaluations. How to respond to this tender
A strong tender response is clear, compliant, and backed by evidence. These steps apply to most Australian and New Zealand public tenders.
Read the requirements in full
Open the official listing and download the full tender pack. Note the response schedules, evaluation criteria, mandatory conditions, and the exact closing time and lodgement method.
Confirm you are eligible and it is worth bidding
Check licences, insurances, certifications, and any conformance requirements before you commit. A quick bid or no-bid decision saves days of wasted effort on a tender you cannot win.
Answer every criterion with evidence
Respond to each evaluation criterion directly and back your claims with concrete examples, referees, and past performance. Address the buyer’s stated need, not a generic capability statement.
Lodge early through the official portal
Submit through the source portal well before the deadline. Late or incorrectly lodged bids are almost always rejected, so leave time for uploads, portal errors, and last-minute questions.
