About this tender

Holmesglen Institute is planning to approach the market to secure a Principal Design Consultant for a $10 million infrastructure upgrade of its existing Electrical Supply Industry (ESI) Training Centre at the Drummond Street campus in Chadstone. Holmesglen Institute is the only TAFE in Victoria that provides ESI training and accreditation. This landmark facility has delivered critical electrical supply skills training for eight decades and is the only ‘live’ training hub in the state. The upgrade will deliver contemporary and safe infrastructure that continues to meet ESI training and accreditation requirements and rapidly evolving industry needs as Victoria transitions to clean energy. The successful Principal Design Consultant will be required to deliver a comprehensive suite of design services, including but not limited to: Concept Design & Development: Creating compliant layouts driven by ESI training and accreditation criteria, yard/facility requirements, plant assets, and equipment resources.\ Construction Documentation & Specifications: Preparing full construction documentation and technical specifications. Discipline Coordination: Managing and coordinating all structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, fire, hydraulic, architectural, and landscape disciplines. Regulatory Approvals Support: Securing regulatory approvals and handling liaison with all relevant authorities. Contract Administration: Providing design support and contract administration throughout the active construction phase.
