About this tender
Overview Corangamite Shire Council, in partnership with Eastern Maar Aboriginal Corporation and Timboon P-12 School, is inviting expressions of interest from an Eastern Maar Traditional Owner Artist to lead a collaborative public artwork for Graze The Day in Timboon. The artist will work with Timboon P-12 students and other young people attending the event. The completed artwork will be installed at Timboon P-12 School as an enduring cultural learning resource. About The project theme is honouring Country as the source of all food and sustenance. Objectives Increase visibility of Eastern Maar culture Support respect for Country Strengthen belonging for First Nations students Provide professional development for an emerging Eastern Maar Artist Scope The lead Artist role includes: Designing and delivering the artwork process Facilitating a student concept workshop Sourcing materials for the artwork Leading the live artmaking activity at Graze The Day Supporting an emerging Artist to gain experience working on a collaborative public art project Eligibility Applicant must be an Eastern Maar Traditional Owner Artist Contract Terms and Conditions Planning meeting: week of 5–9 October 2026 Student workshop: October 2026, during school hours Graze The Day event: Saturday 28 November 2026 Installation event: December 2026 or February 2027 How to Apply Applicants should review the Artist Brief and Contract before submitting an expression of interest: Read the Artist Brief (PDF, 335KB) Read the Contract (PDF, 155KB) Applicants must complete the Graze The Day – Expression of Interest Submission Form by midnight Tuesday 15 September 2026.
