About this tender
Overview Boroondara City Council (Council) invites submissions from suitably qualified and experienced heritage consultants for appointment to its Heritage Consultancy Services Panel. About The City of Boroondara (the City) is located in the inner eastern suburbs of Melbourne, between 5 and 10 kilometres east of the Melbourne CBD. It is recognised as one of Victoria's most significant heritage municipalities, containing an extensive and diverse collection of heritage places that reflect the enduring cultural heritage of the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung people as the Traditional Owners and its colonial and multicultural history. Boroondara's heritage is shaped by the enduring traditions and places of Aboriginal cultural heritage significance, natural heritage, the rich legacy of 19th century settlement and development, and the ongoing contributions of successive generations of diverse communities. Purpose The Panel will provide Council with timely access to specialist heritage expertise in support of its strategic heritage work program and broader heritage objectives. Scope Consultants appointed to the Panel may be engaged to deliver a range of strategic heritage services, largely associated with the implementation of Council's Heritage Strategy 2025-2041 and associated Action Plans. The scope includes: Undertaking heritage assessments and preparing citation reports, including those associated with Boroondara's Community Heritage Nomination Process Preparing and presenting expert evidence for Planning Panels Reviewing and advising on heritage policy matters Other heritage advisory services as required Contractor Requirements Suitably qualified and experienced in the provision of heritage consultancy services Contract Terms and Conditions The Panel will comprise approximately six (6) Consultants who may be invited to submit quotations for heritage consultancy services during the term of the Contract Appointment to the Panel does not guarantee a minimum volume of work Consultants will be engaged on a project-by-project basis, with appointments determined according to the specific requirements of each project, including the consultant's expertise, capacity, availability, and any other relevant considerations
