About this tender
Overview The Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions (VIC), on behalf of the Australian Grand Prix Corporation (AGPC), intends to release a Request for Tender for the provision of Internal Traffic Management services for the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix. Scope The scope includes: Traffic management around Albert Park, including restricted and full road closures of Lakeside Drive Traffic management associated with the installation and removal of overpasses and gantries Provision of on-call emergency traffic management services Supply, delivery, placement, filling, maintenance and removal of water-filled barriers, bollards and other traffic management equipment across various locations and durations Daily traffic management audits and action of any required improvements or maintenance activities Provision of standby crews during the Event Period for traffic and pedestrian management Roaming traffic controllers and vehicles with all necessary traffic control provisions Additional traffic management resources as required by the Superintendent Contractor Requirements Hold a current Fair Jobs Code Pre-Assessment Certificate where applicable (tenderers who do not already hold a certificate may apply via the Buying for Victoria website) Comply with Local Jobs First requirements Demonstrate appropriate insurance coverage Contract Terms and Conditions Procurement model: Minor Works Agreement Applicable government policies: Fair Jobs Code, Local Jobs First (Victorian Industry Participation Policy), and the Victorian Government Supplier Code of Conduct Instructions to Tenderers Tender process: Open, single-stage Request for Tender, to be published on the Buying for Victoria Supplier Portal Expected timing: Request for Tender anticipated for release in late August 2026 (subject to change); parties should continue to monitor the Buying for Victoria website for updates This forward notice is for planning purposes only.
