Zoos Victoria is seeking responses to this Invitation from a pre-qualified VicRoads (now the Department of Transport and Planning) contractor with competency in the required categories to the satisfaction of the Department of Transport and Planning, for the provision of: Emergency Access and associated works, from the Princes Freeway into Werribee Open Range Zoo (existing Gate 6) as per Construction drawings 503744-WORZ-FRV-DRG-CI-0101 and 503744-WORZ-FRV-DRG-CI-0201. Works involve the modification of existing access roads within Werribee Open Range Zoo (WORZ) and adjacent to the Princes Freeway to re-establish an emergency access route via existing Gate 6 (Detailed in Part A.2-Specifications), including: Removal of a section of the existing guardrail and pavement reinstatement. Provision of a new guardrail end termination. Existing gate removal and replacement with double gates. Associated Signage. Construction of a new gravel pavement. Tree pruning to allow vehicle clearance. All works must adhere to the Schedule of Conditions to carry out Roadworks as outlined in the Conditions for 'Consent for Works' issued by the Department of Transport and Planning on 18/11/2025 – Planning Project Number 847. The detailed specifications and scope of works for this Request for Tender are included in the draft Contract (Part C) of the Tender Documentation
