About this tender

North East Water’s is seeking to engage a suitably qualified principal contractor under a design and construct contract to provide a fit for purpose recycled water product for the Rutherglen urban reuse scheme that reduces the risks to human health and the environment as far as reasonably practicable while maintaining affordability for our customers. The proposed works under this Rft includes: Addition of a new tertiary treatment plant to improve recycled water quality from Class C to Class B, consisting: Dissolved air flotation (DAF) treatment for algae, solids and phosphorus removal. Chemical dosing. Disinfection with UV and chlorination. Recycle pumps and lift pumps. Buffering tank. New 40 l/s DAF feed pump station New 40 l/s reuse transfer pump station. New 1ML reuse storage tank and pump station at Rutherglen Golf Course North East Water requires a Principal Contractor that must have a supplier management system that is fully certified by a certifying body against one of the standards / assurance systems listed by both the Department of Treasury (DTF) & Finance and Worksafe. For Tenders under $500k The tenderer must be able to demonstrate compliance with the DTF’s 12-point evaluation criteria. A detailed guide on the mandatory OHS management criteria is available on the DTF’s Practitioners Toolkit – Document library page Tenderers must have one of the following approved OHS assurance systems that is independently certified/audited for currency, to be considered eligible to participate in this tender: (a) ‘Safety Map’ (b) Civil Contractors Federation Management Code (c) Australian Government Building and Construction WHS Accreditation Scheme (d) ISO 45001 2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems. North East Water encourages Contractors to undertake the DTF’s prequalification process to enable registration for construction and/or construction related services on the Construction Contractors Register. The Victorian Government and Public bodies such as North East Water may use the Construction Contractors Register to create shortlists of Contractors to invite to submit tenders for Public Construction and Construction Related Services.
