Overview Wyndham City Council invites tender submissions from suitably qualified and experienced contractors to undertake the demolition of the existing single-storey Soldiers Reserve Pavilion and construction of a new purpose-built two-storey pavilion in Werribee. About The existing pavilion was constructed in the 1970s and has been subject to only minor upgrades over the years, and no longer meets contemporary standards for accessible, inclusive and female-friendly sporting facilities. Soldiers Reserve is Crown Land managed by Wyndham City Council, and the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) has granted consent for the project to proceed. Purpose The redevelopment will provide a safe, accessible and inclusive facility for the Werribee Districts Football Club, Werribee Cricket Club and Werribee Junior Cricket Club, while supporting increased participation by female and junior athletes and providing opportunities for broader community use. The project has a strong focus on building sustainability, accessibility, inclusion and long-term operational performance. Scope The scope includes: Demolition of the existing single-storey Soldiers Reserve Pavilion Construction of a new modern, multi-use, two-storey pavilion comprising four change rooms, amenities, umpire rooms, first aid facilities, kiosk, storage, a DDA-compliant public toilet, a lift, upgraded services, a covered spectator veranda, and hard and soft landscaping Electrical infrastructure upgrade to accommodate a future EV charging station Obtaining and submitting for approval all required permits, approvals and statutory requirements applicable to the demolition and construction works Contractor Requirements Suitably qualified and experienced in undertaking demolition and construction works of this nature Demonstrated strong track record in Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE), including successfully delivering demolition and construction works within a live, publicly accessible environment while maintaining high standards of workmanship and site management, as the wider Soldiers Reserve will remain publicly accessible throughout the works Instructions to Tenderers The Tender package is available for download via the Tendering portal.
