Overview HealthShare Victoria (HSV) has issued this advance tender notice regarding the upcoming release of a Request for Tender (RFT) / Invitation to Supply (ITS) for Specialist Waste Management Services (Supplementary). The procurement will apply to all Public Health Services (as legislatively defined) referred to in Schedule 1 and Schedule 5 of the Health Services Act 1988 (Vic). Scope The scope of the ITS is for waste management services including collection, transport, receiving, treatment and disposal of waste across the following streams (not exhaustive): Secure document destruction Non-clinical reportable priority waste E-waste recycling Mattress recycling Medical PVC recycling Organic waste recycling Soft plastics recycling Sterilisation wrap recycling Uniforms and textiles recycling Light globe recycling Battery recycling Polystyrene recycling Coffee cup recycling Wooden and plastic pallet recycling Sanitary waste Waste audit services HSV also welcomes offers for other specialist waste stream services that may contribute to diversion from landfill and other favourable environmental outcomes. Contract Terms and Conditions Duration of tender: 4 weeks Release date: 17 September 2026, 2:00 pm AEST Start of contract: 1 January 2027 Tender Briefing A briefing session will be held to provide general information including an overview and draft specifications, and detailed information on how to complete a response via the HSV Procurement Portal (also known as JAGGAER). It is advised that those responsible for completing the submission attend this briefing so they are well informed. Date: 15 September 2026 Time: 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm Format: Virtual briefing (Microsoft Teams) Registration: To RSVP, email the name, organisation, email address and contact number of participants (maximum 3 attendees) to louisa.hsu@healthsharevic.org.au Registration closes: 13 September 2026, 1:00 pm Instructions to Tenderers The tender is anticipated to be released to the market around 17 September 2026. When available, documentation will be accessible via the HSV Procurement Portal.
