About this tender
Overview Murdoch University is seeking a contractor to undertake the replacement of end-of-life AV equipment in selected teaching and learning spaces in Buildings 235, 245 and 440, including disposal, supply, installation, configuration, testing and commissioning. About This tender (RFT26027) is linked to RFP26006, the Audio Visual Services Panel, which will be released separately on Tenders WA. Scope The scope includes: Design Review & Documentation Collaborating with Murdoch to clarify design intent, expectations, and constraints to ensure compatibility with existing infrastructure and technology standards Providing technical documentation prior to installation, including AV system schematics, equipment layouts, cabling schedules and numbering scheme, and equipment schedule including LAN-connected devices Site Preparation & Decommissioning Assessing environmental factors such as lighting, acoustics, and ventilation to support optimal AV performance Decommissioning and removing any existing AV equipment, cabling, and wall plates that are not being reused Returning removed equipment to Murdoch or disposing of it in accordance with environmental and data security policies Supplying all nominated AV equipment, hardware, and accessories Providing cable management and mounting accessories Preparing the physical space for installation, including wall brackets, mounting holes, power outlets, and cable pathways Coordinating with Murdoch IT staff to ensure network infrastructure is ready to support AV devices by providing port-level configuration requirements Pre-configuring and registering network access Installation & Integration Installing and routing all AV cabling infrastructure, including cable protection and support systems Updating wall plates to align with the new installation layout and device requirements Connecting all devices to power, network, and control systems Configuring software licences and installed equipment for operational readiness Testing, Commissioning & Training Conducting system integration testing to verify interoperability with existing infrastructure Commissioning the system under normal operating conditions and performing full system testing Submitting commissioning and testing data prior to inspection by Murdoch Conducting user interface workshops to finalise system functionality and operation Providing user and technical training to key personnel, including training materials and guides Post-Installation Support Providing a defined post-installation support period (for example, 30 days) for troubleshooting and adjustments Delivering a recommended maintenance schedule and escalation process for future support Delivering final documentation, including a copy of any uncompiled source code created under the services, copies of all relevant manuals and other documentation for goods and services, as-built drawings, and a comprehensive network and asset register including asset numbers, serial numbers, make/models, locations/shelf unit, firmware version at commissioning (where applicable), MAC addresses, static IP address (where applicable), usernames and passwords, and warranty period The contractor must supply all materials and services necessary for or incidental to the installation and commissioning of the systems as specified in the Scope of Works and shown on the drawings. Supplementary miscellaneous items and devices incidental to, or necessary for, the complete operational installation are included in the works even where not specifically shown or specified. Contract Terms and Conditions A 12-month defects liability period applies to all installed AV systems Tender Briefing and Site Inspection A joint briefing session for RFT26027 and RFP26006 will be held at Murdoch University's campus, including a tender briefing, site inspection, and site induction (if required).
