Overview Greatland Pty Ltd (WA) is seeking a suitably qualified contractor for the construction of a sealed haul road as part of the Havieron Project, a brownfields development of an underground gold-copper mine. Ore from the mine will be hauled along an infrastructure corridor, including the sealed haul road under this construction package, to Telfer for processing using existing and expanded facilities. About The Havieron Project is located in the Paterson Province of Western Australia, approximately 45 km east of the existing Telfer Mine. Scope The scope of services includes major road earthworks construction of the Telfer to Havieron sealed dual lane private haul road (approximately 55 km) designed for highway prime mover road trains, including the placement of approximately 1.5 million m3 of earthen materials over a 14 month period. This scope is a critical infrastructure component related to the Havieron Project and will provide a safe, efficient, and reliable haul route from Telfer to the Havieron Mine site. The scope of services covers: Surveying and setting out works Materials testing and quality control services Site preparation, clearing, grubbing and topsoil management Borrow pit establishment and material winning Engineered earthworks, drainage culverts and road pavement construction Cut to fill and spoil operations, including treatment and replacement of unsuitable material Embankment foundation preparation Excavation, haulage and placement of material from designated stockpiles, cut areas and nominated sources Blending of crushed rock base and gravel where required Embankment, improved subgrade and basecourse construction Final trimming to the required lines, levels, grades and tolerances Prime, bitumen seal and surfacing works Culverts and associated drainage structures Excavation, bedding, backfilling and installation of drainage structures Headwalls, aprons and scour protection Erosion and sediment controls associated with drainage works Light vehicle road overpass, including all associated structural works, earthworks, drainage works and tie-ins Line marking, road furniture, signage and barriers Transport of crushed rock base (supplied by others at Telfer Mine) Instructions to Tenderers Specific scope requirements will be communicated to suitable contractors via an Invitation to Tender.
