Overview The City of Fremantle is seeking a suitably qualified contractor to undertake the design, supply, decommissioning and installation of replacement parkour equipment at Esplanade Reserve Youth Plaza in Fremantle, under a Design and Construct (D+C) contract. About The City of Fremantle is a local government authority located 20km south of the Perth CBD, comprising the suburbs of Beaconsfield, Fremantle, Hilton, North Fremantle, O'Connor, Samson, South Fremantle and White Gum Valley. The Town of Fremantle Council was founded in 1871 and gained city status in 1929. The City employs more than 400 people and services approximately 30,000 residents over a land area of 19 square kilometres. The City pursues responsible social, economic and environmental management, and in 2009 Fremantle became WA's first carbon neutral city. In September 2014, Fremantle became one of only two councils in Australia to achieve national One Planet certification for sustainability. The City also has a strong focus on arts and culture and owns and runs the Fremantle Arts Centre and world-renowned festivals, including Australia's oldest festival, the Fremantle Festival.
