About this tender
Overview The City of Fremantle is seeking expressions of interest from commercial and community proponents to lease or licence part of the administration building at 70 Parry Street, Fremantle Oval. About The administration building at 70 Parry Street (Fremantle Oval) was previously occupied by the City of Fremantle, Perth Glory and the Fremantle Football Club and has since become available for lease or licence. For the purposes of the expression of interest documentation, the terms lease, lessee, or lessor may also refer to licence, licensee, or licensor. The property forms part of a masterplan process currently underway to determine the redevelopment potential of the broader oval precinct. The City intends to redevelop within the next 10 years, at which time tenants will be required to vacate. Premises Details Total building floor area of approximately 2,322m2 across two levels Approximately 200m2 available for lease on the first floor, excluding the balcony Occupation of Office Suite 3, comprising partitioned offices and meeting rooms Non-exclusive use of the balcony, amenities, and two kitchenettes Secured car parking to the rear, with parking requirements negotiated on a case-by-case basis A floorplan showing the available space has been included with the expression of interest documentation. Contract Terms and Conditions Any lease or licence offered will be limited to a term of 3 years A redevelopment clause will allow the tenancy to be terminated on short notice, with the notice period to be negotiated The City makes no representation regarding the timing of redevelopment No compensation will be payable for business disruption, relocation costs, or loss of goodwill arising from redevelopment Eligibility Expressions of interest are sought from both commercial and community proponents. How to Apply The City will assess expressions of interest against the criteria set out in the documentation and may choose to engage with multiple proponents if a mix of aligned concepts or uses is proposed. This process seeks expressions of interest only, and the City may choose not to lease or licence the premises. Proposals must be submitted electronically via email to adamda@fremantle.wa.gov.au no later than 31 August 2026.
