Provision of Feasibility and Design Services for Drainage and Infrastructure Renewal Broadview Park and Warradale Park, Landsdale

Overview The City of Wanneroo is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced civil and environmental engineering consultant to provide feasibility and design services for drainage and infrastructure renewal at Broadview Park and Warradale Park, Landsdale. About The City of Wanneroo has experienced severe drainage and groundwater issues at both Broadview Park and Warradale Park in recent years, which has resulted in prolonged standing water. This inundation has caused the deterioration of surrounding infrastructure and prevented the community from using the parks as intended. Purpose The consultant will undertake a comprehensive review of existing drainage infrastructure and network across the two parks in Landsdale. Following the review, the selected consultant will identify feasible mitigation options and prepare designs that address standing water issues and support renewal of affected infrastructure at both parks. Scope The design scope of consultancy services for this project comprises all investigations, studies, design and documentation works required to complete the specified works, including all necessary consultancy disciplines such as civil engineer, structural engineer, environmental engineer, electrical engineer, landscape architect, and any other consultants such as hydrologists and arborists as required. The proposed design must address existing groundwater challenges while accommodating projected future groundwater level trends, ensuring infrastructure remains functional and does not require relocation throughout its intended service life. The design should be aesthetically integrated with the surrounding park landscape and infrastructure, while maintaining connectivity, accessibility, sustainability and value for money. The City requires a water-sensitive, site-responsive and adaptive design approach that recognises the influence of catchment processes and groundwater conditions on the long-term performance of Broadview Park and Warradale Park, with preference given to solutions resilient to changing groundwater conditions, minimising ongoing maintenance and intervention requirements, protecting environmental values, and delivering sustainable long-term community benefits.
